Drukpath Trek

Druk Path Trek, one of the most scenic and popular treks in Bhutan, is a relatively a short trek, it takes you to an elevation of 4210m above sea level, making it moderately strenuous. You can see many remote lakes, beautiful views of high mountains and variety of rhododendron. The actual trekking days are five days. It is possible to shorten this trek but you must be in good shape to walk for more then eight hours a day. It is done either from Paro to Thimphu or Thimphu to Paro. The ideal time would be in spring when you can see many varieties of flowers.

  • Day 1: Arrive by Druk Air – Paro
  • Day 2: Paro – Sight-seeing
  • Day 3: Paro – Jele Dzong
  • Day 4: Jele Dzong – Jangchulakha
  • Day 5: Jangchulakha – Jimilangtso
  • Day 6: Jimilangtso – Phajoding
  • Day 7: Phojoding – Thimphu (afternoon) – Sightseeing
  • Day 8: Thimphu – Sightseeing/after lunch drive to Paro
  • Day 9: Paro – Airport for departure
